Bilingual Crew Leader
Position open in Lexington, SC – Knoxville, TN – Bowling Green, KY
NaturChem, Inc. is a leader in the Vegetation Management Services industry. We provide services to clients across the South/Southeast and beyond to control invasive and hard to manage vegetation. We are seeking a qualified, hardworking individual to join our team as a Bilingual Crew Leader. We work outside in changing weather and environmental conditions. Crew Leaders coordinate and supervise a crew of 5-10 workers traveling across the Southeast performing vegetation management services. This includes outside work, in changing weather and environment. Must be willing to train employees and perform work alongside crews. Travel is extensive from April – November.
The Crew Leader reports to the General Manager of the division and will be required to travel periodically to the Corporate Offices in Lexington, SC.
Must Haves (Requirement to Apply):
Fluency in both English and Spanish for reading, writing, and speaking.
Willing to travel overnight for extended periods across the southeast.
Valid Driver’s License with good three-year driving record (MVR).
21 years or older with US work authorization.
Ability to perform and manage fieldwork to include right-of-way spraying, invasive vegetation management, and similar.
Ability to read, follow, and edit maps (Google Maps).
Valid herbicide license in any state a plus.
Responsibilities & Characteristics:
Plans work to achieve the agreed-upon maintenance standards and master plan to comply with all requirements, and oversees the training, scheduling and deploying of personnel to accomplish the work in compliance with all safety, best practices, and local, state, and federal guidelines;
Supervising, training, and developing a crew of 5-10 people;
Chemical application to include mixing herbicides and keeping detailed records of usage;
Providing excellent customer service to our business partners, building and maintaining relationships;
Assisting with employee compliance paperwork and travel;
Keeps accurate and complete daily records on staff, inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures, chemical applications, etc.;
Overseeing and scheduling the maintaining equipment to include trucks, backpack sprayers, water tanks, etc.;
Responsible to meet company and department objectives;
General mechanical skills/troubleshooting;
Holds crew accountable;
Goal and deadline oriented.
Previous Experience and Education:
Previous 1-2 years of experience in the following a plus: landscaping or construction crew foreman
Degree or combination of education and experience in agriculture, horticulture, environmental studies, agronomy, or other similar field of study
Pay & Benefits:
$45-50K starting DOE with potential for growth; target start date 01/05/2021
