Will the chemicals used on roadside turf kill cogon grass?
Commonly our Roadside programs target rapid growing weeds and limit the vertical growth of the grass species. Cogon grass thrives in colonies and thus we should treat only the colonies. We do not promote broadcast treatments when the targeted species are sparse and isolated. Cogon grass is listed as an invasive species and somewhat difficult to control therefore, it should be on everyone’s vegetation management plan.
